 WATER CYCLE

Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers, lakes or the ocean and turns it into water vapor.

Condensation: water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming clouds

Precipitation happens when there is so much water in the clouds and the air cannot hold it anymore. The clouds get heavy and water falls back to the Earth in the form of rain, hail or snow.

Collection or accumulation: when water ends up on land, it becomes part of the “ground water” or it turns into rivers that end up in lakes or oceans where the water cycle starts...
