Natural U3 - Pollination in plants. Copiar.

Pollination is how plants reproduce.  Pollination is the act of moving pollen from the male anther (stamen) of a flower to the female stigma (pistil) of another flower.

Process:

  1. A flower's petals and fragrance attract insects.
  2. The insect arrives on the flower to collect nectar.
  3. The pollen sticks to this insect.
  4. The insect flies to another flower.
  5. There, the pollen from the anther (male part of a flower) is deposited onto the stigma of the new flower (the female reproductive part of a flower).
  6. This plant has now been fertilised.
  7. The ovary of the flower will turn into seeds that finally will fall down to become a new plant.
